Design the Product
After building my high-fidelity mockups, I used Adobe XD to digitize my prototype for testing. This level of prototype gives a more accurate feel of the brand and will provide better quality usability testing. The primary objective is to gather qualitative data to evaluate users’ interaction with the new design and quantitative data to assess common issues that arise.

Final thoughts
This project took me through a rigorous learning experience. As the concept behind the project was a not-so-explored field, I had to delve deeper for research & rely on user insights to make design decisions.
-
As observed during user research, trekkers were using chat apps the most to communicate with groups, so I integrated that feature in the design.
-
I have tried to follow Visual Hierarchy throughout the content by prioritizing the content to be displayed first. This was achieved by referring to the user goals & needs from the journey map.
-
At each stage of the design process, I had to remind myself to stick to the ‘User-Centered Approach’. At the same time, I managed to consider the business aspects of apps.
-
I also explore my illustration style and design some visual assets to create a more engaging onboarding, to shorten the time it takes for users to understand the value of the product, and get to their first “Aha” moment ( insight, recognition of the context of the product).
